Homemade Windmill Plans: One Secret To Slashing Your Electric Bill

Earth4Energy

Quality Home Windmill Plans that teach you how to do-it-yourself provide an inexpensive way to significantly reduce or even eliminate your electric bills.

We Were Taught That The Only Solution To The Rising Cost Of Electricity Is To Just Use Less of it…Oh, Really?

The cost of just about all energy types from gasoline to electricity has increased at such an accelerated rate that the average homeowner must consider some serious lifestyle changes. The media almost daily carry stories lecturing about conserving energy. The central message seems to be to just accept things the way they are: unchangeable and hopeless.

I find this approach to be somewhat unimaginative especially since there is not really an overall energy shortage. Consider this, the sun is said to send enough solar energy to the Earth each and everyday to satisfy the energy needs of everyone man, woman and child on the planet for an entire year. Isn’t that actually an abundant oversupply of power? So where is the shortage then?

Why not just tap into the free and clean wind energy, for example, that literally knocks on our front door everyday?

Home windmills that tap into free wind energy for generating electricity are now an absolute reality. A few dedicated pioneers have finally solved the cost problem. A commercial small windmill generator, including installation, can sell for $8,000 to $20,000 and beyond. The payback for that size investment can be between 8 and 12 years in the future. That obviously is too expensive for many if not most people.

It is now possible with the right windmill plans to build your own small wind powered generator for as little as $200. The payback would then be reduced to only a couple of weeks in the windiest areas to a few months in areas that have less wind. Earth4Energy

All Home Windmill Plans Are Not Created Equal.

Here are a few tips for evaluating good home windmill plans:

1. The authors of any plan should have actually built a successful windmill with their own hands.

2. The book must include many clear detailed photos and illustrations.

3. The plans should include specific details of how and where to find low cost and even free sources for the building materials and parts.

4. The plans should be designed for flexibility because the exact dimensions of the parts that you acquire might be slightly different than that of the author.

5. The project should be simple enough so that only common tools found in a typical garage will get the job done.

6. The windmill design should be easy enough so that the required building skills are simple enough for the average person.

7. The windmill design should require infrequent maintenance.

8. The windmill plans should offer variations of complexity from running a few appliances directly to a more complicated tie-in scheme with the electric companies power grid.

Unfortunately there are some big selling do-it-yourself manuals that are confusing and incomplete. Some of these websites have extremely tempting sales pitches but the products themselves just do not measure up.

Having said that, there are some excellent homemade windmill manuals that meet the above criteria. The best bet is to go to a review website like Wind2Electricity.com for detailed reviews of the top home windmill plans before you buy.

After I purchased the Earth4Energy eBook I was able to read through the entire manual in one evening. This practical, hands-on manual is designed to quickly get you started building. No unnecessary technical jargon is offered.

It is very specific with lots of helpful and easy to understand diagrams and photos, (with only a few exceptions). The information is very specific and yet allows for adjustment if the parts you obtain vary from the author’s example.

At the time of this review, I tracked down the recommended used and free parts sources and found them to be easily available as promised.

I like the fact that the Earth4Energy manual is constantly being updated. Refinements and tips are available free on the Earth4Energy website to anyone that purchases their manual.

UPDATE: The Earth4Energy Company has begun to produce a whole series of short and focussed videos that show critical details for building windmills and solar panels.

Some of the initial videos show the essential methods and tricks for easily soldering electrical leads to the individual solar cells as well as exactly how to connect all the cells in an entire panel. These and future videos on windmill construction are available on a special "members only" webpage that is available at no extra charge to anyone that buys the main eBook.

I have increased this program's rating from 9.0 to 9.7 because of these instructional videos. Earth4Energy is now my highest rated program.
